Every year when Mother’s Day rolls around we all get the chance to indulge ourselves in a little bit of selfish chit chat with our friends and family about all the great things our moms have done during the year and in our lives in general.
One might talk about the wedding she paid for, while another might boast about the inspirational notes she left in their lunch bag each day before school each day. It’s unfortunate but most of the time, we never get the chance to thank our moms publicly for awesome prizes. Until now.

Spring isn’t exactly rife with holidays, but there are a few. In the northern hemisphere, May 1st marks May Day, a Spring Festival, which is one of the oldest holidays still celebrated today.

Dating all the way back to pre-Christian times, May Day is related to the Celtic festival of Beltane, and the Germanic festival of Walpurgis Night. It’s not a coincidence that May 1st falls exactly six months after November 1st, which is another cross-quarter day long associated with various Pagan holidays.

One of the real wonders of nature is watching migratory birds.
Ever notice how they can be flying along for hours, and then all of the sudden they all turn at exactly the same time? It's like they share some weird mental connection that lets them know when everybody else is moving.
