Team Beezid is taking part in Movember® this year, proudly growing our mustaches to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer research and mental health. Movember® lasts the entire month, during which participants will grow mustaches and raise money by getting friends, family and anyone else to donate to their cause. Anyone can participate in Movember® , regardless of age, gender or anything else. Just set up a Mospace page and start growing! Beezid has a goal: to reach $5,000 in donations before the month is up. Every dollar counts and no donation is too small! Click the “donate” link above or below to get to the Beezid donation page. You can also use the scroll bar below each picture to see how the members of Team Beezid are doing in their quest to grow that Mo!
We appreciate your help! Every person that contributes with a donation, no matter what size, will automatically be entered into the Beezid Mustache Courtesy Giveaway. At the end of the month of November, one lucky donor will be selected to win the all-new 16 Gb iPad Mini!
During November each year, Movember® is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in the US and around the world. With their Mo's, these men raise vital awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives. Since its humble beginnings in Melbourne, Australia, Movember® has grown to become a truly global movement inspiring more than 1.9 Million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to participate with formal campaigns in Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, the UK, South Africa, Ireland, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Belgium and the Czech Republic.
Once registered at www.movember.com, men start November 1st clean shaven. For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Supported by the women in their lives, Mo Sistas®, Movember® Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts. Mo Bros effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November. Through their actions and words they raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health.
In 2011, over 854,000 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas around the world got on board, raising $126.3 million USD.
